I have a Beko DWD 5410 S which drains at the start of a cycle but when the spray arms start to work the lights on the front of the dishwasher go off. They come back on 5 seconds later and it part spins the spray arms and goes off again.
The water does not drain from the bottom of the dishwasher.

Can anybody suggest what the problem might be and how to fix it?

Sounds like a poor connection somewhere, perhaps in the cable loom, on/off switch defective perhaps, poor plug connection, float switch faulty, the list is endless.
Power off of course if doing any work on an appliance.

Cheers for the reply, will need to have a look again.

Tried putting the dishwasher on the rinse setting with no heat, opened the door to find that the water was roasting. Just cant work this one out. Tried setting it to an intense wash but it still cuts out when the washers start, must be the float sensor cutting it out as the water is not draining away.

Heat on pre- rinse is almost certainly a board fault

Agree with Andy, isolate appliance from mains, don’t leave switched on, get an Engineer to fit a new P.C.B.

Can you not fit a P.C.B yourself?? I have had a look on the internet and found the genuine Beko part.

A dishwasher that has been heating when it should’nt is a dangerous thing to have in your kitchen. To be honest i’d refer it to the manufacturers, tell them how dangerous you feel it is & see if they would do it for free as a goodwill gesture.
Don’t tell them you worked on it or done tests or they will not even consider it. If you were to fit P.C.B yourself & something was to happen later, they would’nt entertain you claiming etc.

Big thanks to Andy Jones and Seamy for the help. Got the new P.C.B yesterday and it only took 15 minutes to replace. Checked it and it is back to working properly.
Would highly recommend this forum to anyone with electrical problems.

No problem. I would keep a close eye on it, also get it electrically tested when you can
