ParticipantHi All, Another friday afternoon headache!! Can anyone shed some light on this,
I have been working on a Beko DWD5410 dishwasher. When you turn machine on , pump sounds but after about 20 seconds the machine ends, with only a small amount of water taken in (not enough to wash),tablet has been dropped in but nothing.
Have taken the machine apart, pump OK clean filters and drain hose all clear.
Have got to the point of either float valve, recirculation pump or water flow meter (coulds also be the inlet valve). Before I order anyparts, has anyone got any ideas, maybe something I have missed,
Chers

these circ pumps can regularly clog with crud, and jam. id be looking there, access RHS as you look at it, pretty simple to work on… its a sealed imp housing and impellor, which isnt as far as im aware available seperately, so you have to replace whole motor if you cant free impellor fully. imp housing can be removed from motor however for easier cleaning.

Thanks for the quick response, I will try this first as thre sems to be a humming coming from that part anyway, do you feel this will be the main cause or could there be another issue, other than eliminating this issue, Cheers, Dave

youve eliminated most other options so yes circ pump first… dont forget to apply for trade if your an engineer and youll get more of a response

Many thanks, I am trade but new to this forum, I have taken the circulation pump apart and checked for debris, the blades inside the impeller do not seem to be moving so will order a new one, also when I turned on the machine, steam was coming through the filter in the bottom of the machine, bit of a worry. I will also replace the drain pump to be sure, cheers for your help, Dave

steam from the base wont be the drain pump, some of these bekos are a bit of a worry seem to energise the element even when theres next to no water in the base, last one we looked at did this and she didnt want us to follow it up, just put it back in the hole so she could use it, as it “always did that” so we couldnt do much else and begrudginly refused to bill her as we werent happy with leaving it and didnt want any paper evidence wed been near it! :/
ps the impellor will seem stiff when its off of the motor, because its spring loaded 😉
