Hi,
Went to a customer today who reported that she had had a bit of water leaking from the bottom of the door on her Beko DWD5410W for a while so she had replaced the lower door seal with a new one from espares, but the new one seems to leak more.
I suspected the door seal just wasn’t fitted correctly but it seemed to be when I checked, and I refitted just to confirm, and also tried it fitted the opposite way round. It is fitted in the grove at the bottom of the door and looks sealed to the naked eye. However when run there are regularly spurts of water coming up through the points where there are slight divots(?) in the tub just under the door as the spray arms go round. Water level in the tub seems right and it is all level. Try as I might I couldn’t stop the leak.
The customer then showed me the old door seal which to me (and the customer who had said she thought it looked different when she got it) seem to be ~3-4mm fatter/deeper along the seal than the new one. Checked all the part numbers though and she did get what is supposedly the correct one.
Any help in solving this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon
