Any help/advise on my problem is much appreciated.

We have a Beko fridge freezer (CDA543FW) purchased from Currys at the tale end of January last year, (now out of warranty, typical!)

Was running fine until the weekend, although I always thought it was a noisy beast. Freezer is not cold enough likewise the fridge. Also, it started making a noise like a fish tank and the compressor is very hot.

Went to Currys who referred me to Beko. As a goodwill gesture they said they will provide any parts but i need to pay for labour etc. Fair enough.

I emptied the freezer and removed the back panel inside the cabinet and the coil was solid with ice. I defrosted it thinking that would rectify but no joy.

Anything I can do, before I call out an engineer?

    Many thanks.

Thanks for your reply. Bearing in mind that Beko are gonna supply any parts, is it worthwhile getting it repaired?

Can’t get anyone to look at it anyway! Gonna get a new one. Not a Beko.
