My Beko TZDA 568w upright freezer has a problem with the evaporator icing up. I have defrosted it twice now and then read on the forums that it could be the heater in the evaporator thats not melting the ice. Found a PCB mounted just above the condensor on the back. On a connector I have a live and neutral, a black core that feeds the compressor and a yellow core that I think maybe the defrost heater? I have about 290 ohms bet yellow core and neutral, so I think it could be the supply for the defrost heater. Can anyone confirm that I’m right about the yellow core and the pcb being the control for the heater and compressor.
    Many thanks.

Power off when doing any testing!

If you take off the evap’ cover you can see defrost heater and any other components that you wish to examine.
