This might be a stupid question, but.
I have just bought a Beko CF5834APW frost free fridge freezer.
Looking in the freezer section there are “wire” shelves between the plastic freezer drawers. My question is that said shelves have thin pieces of plastic slid into the grids held in place by sticky tape. Are these pieces of plastic meant to stay there or are they some sort of packing?
There is no mention of them in the instructions, although other packing materials like tape & polystyrene in mentioned for removal. They look a bit more than just packing material although the tape fixing is a bit crude. Possibly to restrict the fanned cold air through the freezer?
    Cheers.

Sticky tape is just packing to ensure no movement during transit.

Does that mean the actual thin plastic pieces stay there?

I have attached a couple of pictures of one of the shelves.
I have slid one of the “plates” out in one picture to give you some idea.
Also the other shelves have different widths of “plates”, this is 3/4 width. Others are either full width or half a width.

They look like packaging TBH as all they’re do is stop airflow in the freezer I would think.
