Hi; Have got a beko frost free fridge freezer and for the past 5 days 2 buttons keep flashing on it on and off, not constantly – red light means temo to high and apparantly A4 means defrost sensor. Anyway followed instructions first time it happened and turned it off for half hour and it worked for an hour and then started repeating above so reduced temp to 2 and that worked for 36 hours but since then once or twice a day it starts doing the above again – dont think its anything major as food is staying frozen in freezer bit and cold in fridge but wondered if anyone had any advice on what it could be. When it does flash the red light and A4 it is quiet whereas usually you can hear the motor going – any advice would be appreciated; Jill
Quite clearly the defrost sensor has failed as indicated by the code being displayed.
This will eventually result in too much ice forming in the freezer, resulting finally in the cold air being restricted from circulating properly, which is probably already happening.
You’ll need an engineer to replace the sensor for you, please check repairs@ for one in your area.
