Hey, I’m looking for a bit of advice. My fridge freezer has suddenly gone a bit strange, The fridge area has lost all chill and the freezer is cold but not cold enough to freeze. The compressor is running all the time, and the freezer fan appears to be working fine too. Not really sure where to start with this? Do I need a new appliance or can this fault be rectified relatively cheaply? Could it be a sensor? Is this common on Bekos? All advice appreciated.

if the freezer is not blocked with ice then it sounds like a new one is in order

Hey Dave, thanks for taking the time to reply. The freezer is a frost free model and is not blocked with any ice, so I guess a new one is required.

It could still be blocked with ice as the evaporator is covered and you would not be able to see if it was iced up.
its worth carrying out a 48 hour defrost by turning it off at the mains and leave the doors open.
If that does not cure the problem then it may be cheaper to replace it.

Hi Samuri, Thank you for your advice, I will try and carry out a 48 hour defrost to see if this helps defrost the evaporator to see if this will cure the issue.
