Beko fridge freezer not cooling

Beko fridge freezer seems to start then something clicks on compressor 5-10 seconds later and it stops.
if i leave it powered up after about 2mins it tries to start again same thing happens.
something is tripping off on compressor???
didnt know if defective capacitor would cause this?
any ideas

anything that causes the compressor to over current will trip this

if compressor is energised but stationary then will trip so could be cap but also mechanical failure
