Hi,
I have a Beko Fridge freezer, which is just under 5 years old. It’s an american style one with the double doors model GNEV221APB. On Sunday I noticed that the food in the freezer was well on it’s way to being defrosted, and the fridge was no longer cold.
I turned everything off, gave it all a clean inside (removing excess water from the freezer), removed the back panel, cleaned the dust out and checked the fan was not obstructed. The condenser felt really warm to the touch.
After 24 hours I turned it back on again, but the freezer only gets down to around 12 deg, and the fridge doesn’t cool at all. The fans inside are running, and I can hear the condenser coming on – a click, then around 15s later, another click as it turns off.
I’ve read a lot online, and it sounds like there could be several issues, but I could do with some solid checks to determine whether it’s the condenser or not – it sounds like it’s uneconomical to repair if it is, otherwise I am happy to replace other parts or get someone in.
As a side note this appliance broken when it was only 6 months old, and i’m sure the condenser was replaced then.
Thanks in advance.
