    Hi,
    CDA751FS/1 S/N 1010245104 Class SN Type 1
I discovered that this 2+ year old appliance won’t stop! Fridge thermometers placed in both compartments show that if it is left on, both compartments just get progressively colder until the fridge starts to act like a freezer too! So for several days we’ve simply switched it on and off as required like a sort of human thermostat! After reading that it might be a thermistor and that they can be buried in foam and be unchangeable, I’m asking, Is this (to me) still new device a gonner? I’d be glad for any help. I didn’t buy extra warranty!! Thank you!!

Not often the ntc fails on these but the main pcb located at the back top left (looking from the back) can fail these are only around £15-£20 so maybe worth a punt but it could also be a system fault which is causing it to run continually and without looking at it I couldn’t direct you any further.

Many thanks. I’m ordering a new NTC right now! But I’m not sure what a ‘system fault’ is!!

Changing the main pcb was very straightforward thankfully. BUT its made absolutely no difference to the problem. The motor simply isn’t getting the message to turn off when the fridge freezer temperature has dropped optimally. It just keeps on going. I’d be grateful for any further thoughts on this. Is this a thermistor problem? If so where are they located on this Beco please? We did try simply turning off completely for 48 hours first, but no help from that. Many thanks once again.
