We have had a Beko FSA 706 for a few years and, though the freezer compartment is fine, it’s never been particularly cold in the fridge compartment. At the moment it’s struggling to get below 7C even with the thermostat turned to its coldest.

Is this a ‘feature’ of this model, or is there something to be done?

Do you know what the freezer temperature is?

It’s a simple fridge freezer, all there is to go wrong is a compressor and thermostat.

I would think it’s a weak compressor at a guess but possibly a refrigerant problem. Both of which are not DIY jobs.

It is extremely unlikely to be the thermostat at fault. So much so I’d reckon it would be nigh on impossible for that to be the cause.

    That’s a pity.

We seem to have had a few things last not too long in the fridge so it looks like it might be time to get another. Any brands/models to look out for? The same size and configuration as the Beko would be useful (319 litre fridge, 101 litre freezer).

Quick inspection of the door switch contact on fridge door, have found some of these to get damaged & not knock off switch for internal light in fridge causing warm fridge.

    Thanks.

    [Goes off to check…]

The switch works and the light goes out.
