    Hi,

I have an Beko GNE480E20FX American Fridge Freezer, purchased in 2020.

It first displayed an e13 error about 1 month ago, the fan would pulse on for about 2 seconds then stop for about 4-5 seconds, then repeat
When this first happened, we removed the drawers to look for obvious reasons and found that the right-hand side freezer unit had ice build-up behind the rear panel. We removed the ice and when powered back on, it was still in fault mode. The fault resolved itself after about 15-20 minutes.

Today the E13 error started again. No obstructions and again the fan pulsing as mentioned above. I understand the compressor is located on the left-hand side panel and normally this is warm to touch. Today whilst in fault mode, the external side wall was lukewarm. I could also hear a click every time the fan started or stopped, can’t say for sure, sounded like a car relay.

I turned the power off for a few minutes and the fault continued for about 15 minutes. Suddenly the fault stopped again…. itself. The side wall is now warm as normal.

Your help and input is much appreciated

    Hi Dave

    Thanks for your reply

the first time this happened, it was the right side compartment with ice build up
today it’s the left side compartment fan pulsing

would you say both fans might be faulty

    thanks

    Thanks Dave

Does this normally mean the actual fan is at fault or maybe another component the fan might plug in to

what document did you find that table?

    thanks

Does the service manual give details of testing the components? Eg resistance of fan etc

also there is a service mode on these, how can I access this and what each code means

    thanks

there is no info on testing the motor

there is a test mode but i dont think it will give you any more info than you have which is a fault code

its one of those faults where you have to fit the part to find out if its faulty
