ParticipantJust had a new Beko washing machine as my old and faithful suffered major engine failure (it fell off 😯 ) I am dismayed to find that they have now gone down the sealed tub road :eeek:

The only ones I can tell you don’t for sure are Miele, ISE and V-Zug.
After that, who knows as most seem to be doing the whole sealed tank thing these days.

Yes indeed they have and no doubt will be embracing the sealed tub ideal throughout their range soon enough.

They have indeed, but the new models I have had in right down to the entry level WAE24061 has a split tub.

😯 Attractive looking….
I know it’s not environmentaly friendly but I will stick with the cheaper stuff. Old Beko lasted nearly 5 years before bearings started to get noisy. New Beko cost £220 so divide that by 4 years comes to £55 a year I can live with that. My neighbour has had 2 indeshits in the same time.

We use to retail Siemens WIQ range, most still out there. Odd new door handles, door gaskets etc. Ten years on and still performing well although the purchase price was high real quality. Anyone else still getting brushes on the Hotpoint WM’s these must be 13 plus years now and we still get them in for repair. What will be out there in another ten years? Split drums or not. Bet my WIQ is though, unless one of the three pcb’s go. Ouch.
