Check the door switch and as I think that this is one with the main module in the bottom of the machine then also check all of the wiring in the door hinge, you may need to give each wire a good tug as I had a similar machine where 7 out of 15 of the wires in the door hinge had broken inside the sleeving which meant that they looked intact but wernt.

How did you fix the wires ? A new complete wiring harness ? Be a nightmare job that ? And just putting bullet connectors on them .is a bit iffy now .. remember you used to get the old whirlpool harness wires ‘with connection grimps on both ends they were great ..don’t think you can get them now ?

At the time the harness was ou of stock so I managed to ease a bit of slack into the hinge and then used solder and heatshrink to reconnect them.

I see you can buy heat shrink quite easy must say never used it much
.only times was when changing the old aqua valves on the Bosch neff dishwashers .it came with couple .do you just use a lighter jem .or you got a proper heat gun ? 🙂

I either use a heat gun or just rub the shaft of the soldering iron against it, just keep the iron moving and it won’t be a problem but you will need some quite small heatshrink to begin with as they are very thin wires.
