Participanthello we have a LP1671D, it seems to be very slow to respond and is turned up to number 5
we have put in an infernal thermometer inside and left it for an hour or so it sits on about 8/9 (no we don’t keep opening the door. The fridge is not making a noise. Then is will kick in an make an noise I will check and it’s around 2 degrees.. then obviously it stops and goes back up… but won’t make a noise for hours (tried a differed thermometer is accurate)
could the thermostat have got lazy? Does anyone know this model ? The adjustment is on the roof of the fridge, so if it is the stat, will it just be removed from the rear, and clipped to roof?
or could it be something else.?
kind regards

Moderatorwith such a large fridge the temperature will vary from top to bottom with the coldest area overt the salad trays
and its an average temp you need so try using a glass of water and measure its temperature as it will give you an average temp. plus try it in different parts of the fridge

Dave I’ve left the fridge a few hours and found in at 9 degrees (it’s turned right up on no 5) that’s with the thermometer in the middle.
This sounds strange and maybe you have heard of this before, if I give the dial a hard thump it runs? Gets right down to zero and does it all again ? It’s only 3 years old.

When I Google the model number is comes https://www.bekospares.co.uk/fridge-thermostat-kdf19b1/product.pl?pid=5216382
KDF19b1 not available anywhere, the picture has 3 terminals ? Is there an equivalent? I thought it would be removed from back because I thought the sensor wire had to be clipped all along.
Thank you you so much for your time.

KeymasterNope.
It’s not got a stat in it, board in there, and all electronic with the usual thermistor stuff.

KeymasterI don’t know that is what you think it to be and these are or, can be, confusing.
I’d need the prod code to be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain but from all I can see it’s using mainly sensors. Then I discover that there’s a stat assy in there, it’s a complete unit with the LED light, housing, and so on all in one. Weird for Beko to do that but heh ho.
That unit’s about £40 or thereabouts. Low use item.
But I’d rather check with the prod code and serial number to be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} correct than not.

if you post all the numbers off the rating plate to the site shop
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/
they will see what they can do. they will need all the info off the plate so best to attach a clear photo
that way they can get an accurate price and an idea of lead time to order if still available

KeymasterBest to email spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and I’ll pick it up. And check it.
The old parts/service adage applies Dave, assume nothing… check everything. 😉

So you want me to pull the Light switch/ thermostat and give the numbers ? Is this the plate ? Or is the plate the full Serial number (don’t know where that is) ? Thank you.
