Beko no fast spin fault

My mate is going to look at a Beko washing machine tomorrow and he’s not dealt with them much before. Says he’s seen a few recently where the drum just distributes on spin but never kicks into spin. He thinks it might be faulty modules but is afraid to risk buying and fitting one.

Presuming carbons are OK is there any advice for him please?

Had a few like this, there are two trains of thought.

1. Nearly every time its been down to a motor problem, not carbons !
fitting a new motor cured this fault on all three occassions.

2. Someone I know who works for Beko seemed to think it was a software
issue on some pcb.

Take your pick !

Thanks. Either way on a budget Beko it’s likely to get scrapped.
