ParticipantHi.
I’ve got a Beko Washer dryer WDJ7523023W…….Prod code 71615420000.
Started with no power, nothing lighting up. Changed main board down below and it now lights up and you can change the programmes but it just beeps when you press start. Changed door lock still the same. I assume the board is programmed part number 2437301140. Thinking it must be the new board. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.May 12, 2020 at 6:51 pm #468620electrofix

Moderatorhave you looked at the old board as it sounds like a failed power supply chip
did one today on a hotpoint, slug shorted the power suuply out result dead board. One chip, one resistor and a diode and all working again

ParticipantIt looked as clean as a whistle from what I could see. I’ll have a closer look when I go back.
Thanks for the heads up but I don’t do much repair work on boards apart from the odd cap or dry joint.
Might have to start !!May 12, 2020 at 8:36 pm #468628electrofix
Moderatorlook for a low value resistor normally 40 to 100 ohms if its open circuit let me know and i will talk you through it

ParticipantI went to 2 of these today with the exact same fault no power and both 18 months old. Digging on the net it’s usually a diode on the board ( D7). Low and behold on both of them the diode has shorted. Getting some tomorrow to try it.

Moderatorif the diode is failing may be worth looking at spec and uprating it
