ParticipantI have a Beko WM74135 which has stopped spinning this weekend. I originally thought it was an uneven load but it still shakes badly with a tiny load.
The movement seems to be front to back, as opposed to side to side.
I’m suspecting the shock absorbers. The suspension springs seem fine. Any other ideas?
It starts the cycle but quickly cuts out as though there is a vibration limit switch.
Also, the pins that connect the shocks, are they single use or can the be reused?
Thanks in advance for any insights!

You can replace the pins at the time you replace the shocks, its likely its an unbalanced load though. Does it go to full spin speed when empty?

Hi,
It does not spin whilst empty. It also does not seem to shake as much now that it’s empty.
The pump does a little drain, then it starts to spin and then quickly cuts out.
Any ideas?
Cheers,

I have emptied the machine, checked the drain filter, which is clean, and tried her again……same…no spin.
My next choices are brushes or pcb. Any pointers?
Cheers,

I have replaced the dc regulator as advised but still have the same problem.
The machine is empty, level, and dry inside. It still has the exact same symptom.Any ideas?
Thanks again for any replies!

Best to get an Engineer to check it, hard for us to advise as we can’t inspect & test it, most of this type machine with no motor action have blown DC modules, did you inspect the removed DC module to see if it had any burn’t components etc?
If there is a faulty motor it could have blown DC module & main PCB, again this is something that an Engineer could test/check for you.April 14, 2015 at 5:37 pm #426116Misnomer

I removed the circuit board completely and gave it a thorough inspection but nothing seems amiss. Nothing obviously burnt or shiny from heat.
Will check the motor brushes next.

As an update; I have checked the pcb, no visible problems
Removed the motor brushes, nice and long and moving freely.
Drained the machine completely, checked drain pump for debris, all clear.
Checked the drain hose, blew it clear, nothing.
The machine will start the spin cycle, run about three seconds and then cut out. My suspicion now is that there is an error code that needs to be cleared.
Does anyone know how to reset the system and clear this code without buying a new pcb?Cheers!

Error codes do not need to be cleared.
Does it spin on fast spin immediately, if so there may be a problem with the tacho or cabling from it, or P.C.B could be at fault.Again this is probably something you should consider getting tested by an Engineer.

The spin builds up as it normally would.
I might just go for a pcb. Difficult to get an engineer as this is on my boat.
Thanks for the help!

Perhaps that is the problem, poor supply?
Is it generator or mains, if there is fluctuation in supply it may effect electronics.
I love to go out to calls on boats, barges, narrow boats etc.April 21, 2015 at 10:50 am #426121Misnomer

Thought I would update this thread in case this info helps anyone.
The issue turned out to be the tacho sensor on the back Of The motor.
I assume it is a simple Hall Effect doodad but it was faulty.
Simple replacement and all is running perfectly now.
Thanks to Seamy for all your advice!
