The belt is fine, I changed the resistor still no joy. She lights up and when you press start button, you can hear the motor but it doesn’t spin. I’ve tried to manual turn drum but it doesn’t move. (can/should you be able to manually) Any ideas before intake it to the tip? Thank you January 22, 2020 at 5:05 pm #466071 iadomModerator Model number ??? Resistor…….do you mean capacitor? You should be to turn the drum by hand with moderate force. January 22, 2020 at 6:03 pm #466072 Monkeyboy44Participant Sorry, kids underfoot… Beko DSV64W And it was the capacitor.. Apologies Cheers January 22, 2020 at 6:05 pm #466073 Monkeyboy44Participant Just tried the drum manually, with huge force it moved about 2 inches and made a horrible ‘screeching’ noise!? Could the motor have seized? January 22, 2020 at 6:26 pm #466074 electrofixModerator could be drum or the motor you need to take off the belt to find out Dave January 26, 2020 at 10:22 am #466075 Monkeyboy44Participant FIXED! slipped the belt off…. Manually span the motor and a a dirty old sock fell out! Wife in doghouse but a result!
