    Good evening all,

Wondering if anyone can help/advise on a problem with the above integrated oven?

The customer reported that the above main fan oven was heating up, but the fan was not working.

I confirmed that the fan motor was faulty, although it gave a good Ohms reading, full voltage was being supplied.

However, having renewed the fan motor with a genuine replacement, things aren’t much better… the motor does spin, but slowly/sluggishly.

Perhaps the new motor is faulty, or I am overlooking something?

    Any help much appreciated.

if the motor is free and you are applying full voltage then its ok

some of these motors run slowly to reduce noise it could be normal

    Thanks Dave,

I was a little concerned as the motor only runs relatively slowly.

Your helpful remarks may well mean all is well… time will tell!

    Kind regards,

    Jon

    Hi Jon,

I had a quick look and it’s a pretty basic oven.

The only things that control that motor appear to be the switch assay and there’s a safety stat in the back but, other than that there’s not a lot else to be wrong.

    K.
