    My Beko oven will not work without the clock set, I get that, but why does it have to be the exact time?? If i’m a minute or two out it will not work?! How does it know and is it part of some ‘we’ll stop this oven working after so many hours use so they buy another’ conspiracy?

    It doesn’t have to be the exact time.

    Are you sure you’re setting the time and not going into auto

    HI Yes it does have to be the exact time or it won’t work!! If i dont know the time i have to keep guessing at minute intervals until i get it right, and no not in auto mode, this is setting the clock

    You are setting in auto. even if you think you’re not. The oven will work (as has been said) regardless of what time it says and has no earthly way of determining actual time. Or if the manual setting wont work and you have to set through auto then the timer is faulty.
