ParticipantHi all.Probs with the oven.Have got replacement Bi Metal button thermostat but cannot see where it fits. All I can see is temperature sensor (Replaced) and thermal cutout.Strangely though.,the cutout fixing centres are the same as stat.does this replace the cutout ? Thanks for advice in advance.Graham

Hi Dave.Lids off again. This is Pt no 161471.052 which I have removed. So does the other item 263410017 replace this although they look different.I thought this was a safety cutout, not the oven stat although fixing centres are identical. 😕
Thanks for your patience

if you are looking at a number on the stat then that is the part number from the manufacturer of the part which is no Beko. so there is no cross reference to this
the part number goes as per picture

Sorry Dave but really confused. The item I have removed looks exactly like Pt No 300180155. The part on the pic you sent earlier looks like a 210110549 fitted to a bracket. This is the button stat that I have but this is not fitted on our oven that I can see
Regards

Also Dave, would there be a temperature sensor (Item 587) on your pic, which I have already replaced, as well as a thermostat.
Cheers

the picture used covers a few ovens. when I looked up the breakdown manual is does not seem to have this bracket on this model
you will see part has 2 part numbers listed but in the part listing only one of them are thereso on some ovens they fit 2 of these stats but not on yours
as for the look of the 2 stats just different manufacturer but do same job

Hi Dave.Looking on eBAY and found a seller (SUDS ONLINE) with item BEKO EDF223000X.This is exactly the same as I took off but it then shows 2 more pics of a later version (Which I have bought) and apparently the design has been changed which would explain the confusion.Am now going to fit this and will let you know the result,
Cheers

Thanks yet again Dave.Fitted new stat, had already fitted temp. sensor and gets to temp ok when on no.2 (takes longer to reach) but not no3 when fan element should also be working.I have a feeling that fan element has gone so that when she puts it on 3,which she always does, the fan is running but element is not heating. Will buzz out element tomorrow but I have found in the past that if an element (kettle, bulb or cooker) has blown trip switch goes but didnt this time. What do you think ?

ModeratorRe: BEKO QOM 246B
most of the time switch is ok
depends on how element blows and how it is connected
fit lots of elements where that is all that has failed its less common for the switch to go as well especially these days where the fitting of RCD’s trip out the power
