    Hi folks.

I have a beko de2542 slim line dishwasher. The main recirculation pump seems to have a burnt out winding. No continuity across the terminals. I can see the blackened wiring.

I’ve seen identical looking pumps on eBay thoat are rated 125w. The one on mine is 90w. Is the pump supplied by the pcb and if so will the 125w pump draw too much and cause the pcb to fail?

    Cheers. Jim.

Quite possibly, yes. If it even works at all.

The real record pump in that dishwasher is fairly cheap anyway as record pumps go, shown here:

Thanks. I’m assuming it’s the pump.

Is there a way to check the pcb to make sure that isn’t faulty too?

Would filling the bottom with water, switching machine on and measuring for 230v across pump supply plug work?

    No live testing is recommended!
You’re theory of filling the bottom won’t work, this dishwasher counts water in via a flowmeter so it won’t go on unless flowmeter detects 4 litres has passed through.
Have you checked the fine blue wires to flowmeter in loom of door are’nt goosed??
Have never seen one with burn’t out motor.

    Re: Beko recirculation pump

The machine fills ok. When it stops filling usually the pump would start but it doesn’t.

The winding is discoloured black in one part and it it shows a dis when I measure resistance across the terminals.

I want to make sure that it didn’t fry the pcb when it went pop, but don’t know how to confirm it works ok.
