BEKO Showing E08

An ex squash playing mate has just called round asking if I have any ideas about his washer.
Beko WTG841 B2W. Showing error code E08 when set to wash programmes, says the drum will rotate on spin.
Any ideas?

The error code failure is on bekos website water inlet valve/pump running continuously, solution check water valve, valve triac faulty

Thanks, it’s the same as the old E8 ones for the WMA models by the looks of it. He says it starts to fill for a second or so the cuts out. Seems to be pointing to a pcb fault.:(

Might be worth checking wiring to valve I’ve had one break doing the same fault
