ParticipantAfternoon all,
As a result of a previous post I was helped to successfully diagnose the fault with my machine which turned out to be a shattered tacho magnet, excellent I thought a quick fix, until trying to get hold of one of the little buggers.
Its not the tacho coil I’m after, which seam to be widely available but the actual tacho magnet that fits to the end of the drive shaft of the motor, I cant seam to find one anywhere! So I wondered if anyone has an idea where I may be able to get this else it will have to be a whole new motor.
Its for a BEKO WM5120W washing machine.
Many thanks,
Steve

Easiest and cheapest way is to go down to your local dump, bound to be a couple of Beko machines there. Pay one of the blokes £10, take the machine, get the magnet off then get your £10 back by taking the machine (with the motor separated) to a scrap metal merchant.

Thanks to this and a previous post, i managed to trace the fault to the broken tacho magnet.
As they’re not available, I’ve glued the magnet together onto the motor shaft with two part epoxy metal. Still working. So far so good! -
