    Hi All,

I have a BEKO upright fridge freezer and have noticed that the back of the fridge compartment on the inside has bulged inwards very badly into the main compartment. We have had to remove the shelves as they are being pushed towards the door stopping it from closing. The top has bulged very badly and it seems to be working its way down the back of the internal compartment.

Anyone got any ideas as to what is causing this and if it can be fixed.

If it can be fixed how do I do it… Im no engineer by the way.

    All help is greatly appreciated

from what you are saying its time for a new one

all I can think that may be happening is somehow ice is forming behind the wall and since frozen water takes up more space its pushing the wall in

    Hi Dave,

Thanks ever so much for the reply, I also think the same, however I was just wondering if anything could be done to rectify it, maybe strip off the back ?? But its probably goosed.

    Cheers Dave

what ever you did to it would have to be done on the inside. as the water would have to be removed. then there is the problem of how the water is getting in and it probably boils down to insulation problems

all in all its not worth it. you will probably find this unit has been over running to cool the iceberg down so a new one will use less electric
