The washer dryer in question is 18 months old, the softener was overflowing onto the front of the machine. No issues with the drawer itself.

It seems that the machine is putting too much water down the softener jet. I thought it would give small amount to trigger the siphon effect but instead it was flooding it with water and spilling out onto the front.

am looking at faulty dispenser jet or inlet valves?

Feels solid and no mould or gelling up, looks like it was made from recycled plastic as it is a different colour than I am used to. More blue/greyish like airfix grey than white-ish. Owner used the drum to load detergent and the drawer for softener but nothing out of the sorts. Thought it was the helix thing in the dispenser hose that could impeded the flow of the water but it doesn’t make any difference.
