Hi I joined yesterday, I have a problem with my BEKO washing machine and I was hoping somebody might be able to give me some advice on it.

Recently the machine has started making an awful racket when it goes to spin. I’ve had the back of it and it seems to be the whole drum assembly including the outer shell that is moving about far too much. Thus making an almighty racket and lots of vibration.

I checked the bearings in the manner that I read on another forum regarding this machine and I could find no movement or untoward sounds coming from them at all. I’ve fixed three or four machines in my time so I’m pretty confident I checked it properly.

Anyway it has a weird strut setup that I can’t remember seeing holding the drum in place. I’ve only seen springs before down there.

What does anyone think ? A strut problem and if so can you buy those as I could get every part for all the other Beko macjhines from their website but they seemed to have none for my machine. It is a cheapo machine mass market machine and was made in Turkey so maybe that is the reason I’m not sure.

Here are the details about the machine:

    Beko WMA 510
    1000 spin
    07-118985-01 ?
    230v 50Hz
    IPX4
    7132781400 ?
    Made in Turkey

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hi

You need to check the bolts on the front counter weight, unplug from socket and tilt machine back to see if weight is loose. If so bolts will need tightening or they may have broken off.
