    Hi there,

I have a 4 year old BEKO WDR7543121W that has suddenly lost all power. I decided to remove the PCB to check for any obvious damage and when removing the top cover discovered that one of the push connectors had experienced overcurrent and burnt itself out.

Is anyone able to offer an explanation as to why this may have happened and what I should be looking for on the PCB? There is no obvious damage to the board itself.

I’m a qualified electrician but domestic appliances aren’t my usual game.

the burnt connector has just been a bad joint. like any bad electrical joint it needs new components. replace the stat and a new connector, but you may have to cut the wire back to clean copper to get a good connection
