Beko washing machine WEY86052W has decided not to spin if there is anything in it. Drum turns slowly if it is set to 1600 rpm, but on a lower setting really doesn’t want to spin at all. I have checked the filter, seems clear. I ran the machine without a load to see if it fills up with water, and then moved it on the to drain and spin cycle – all the water pumped out so don’t think the pumps knackered. Any ideas? A YT video suggested the door locking mechanism? Help!

That may be the issue, though it’s not behaved like this before! Only had a hand-washed jumper in the drum…….

    luck

the machine has a threshold. if the item you put in revolves and is evenly distributed around the drum it will spin. if its in a big lump it wont. somewhere in the middle there is a go , nogo point

the computer decides based on power it feeds to the motor
