    Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help my Beko has stopped working correctly not sure what the problem is the following things happen

on drain cycle 0.02 appears it drains for about 30seconds and END appears (pump is clear and so is hose and trap and water does drain you can hear it)

on spin 0.12 appears in spins for a few spins (slowly) then timer says 0.11 then it stops and a few mins later timer resets to 0.12 and it does above again until I stop it by holding reset until END appears

thought it could be underweight load so removed everything set new 0.39 wash with larger load it starts washes for about 2 mins then stops and again timer resets although it did not then dispense more water just stops althogether until I reset it! (more wet clothes full of detergent!)

Any one have any idea what is wrong machine is under 2 years old but is used about 5 times a week.

Any help would be much appreciated as I have a toddler and a baby so my washing is mounting up fast 🙁

Hi Leanne: Unfortunately it could be 1 of several things causing your problems & it would be best to call a good local engineer to look at it for you. Make sure that whatever engineer you call is familiar with Beko machines, you could try the UKWG repairs@ feature to see if we list an Engineer local to you.

Thanks for the reply I have now narrowed the problem down it is definately starting cycles but not concluding any most it does is 2mins.

I would however prefer not to call someone as in my experience I have been overcharged with a ridiculous call out fee and overcharge to fit a new part, if we can determine which part is likely to need replacing I would rather buy that part and get my husband to fit, He is very technical including electronics.

    Any input greatly appreciated 🙂

O.K some of your fault options are: Faulty motor / Brushes, Faulty Heater, Faulty Sensor, Bad connections, Faulty control PCB, could also be a slow pump not draining fast enough. Does the machine take in any water at the start of a cycle? have had a number of Beko machines lately with faulty inlet valves.

PLEASE REMEMBER POWER OFF & PLUG OUT, Before opening the machine.
A :zap: can seriously shorten your life.

Re: Beko wm 8127w not finishing cycles

Thanks again for your replys the machine takes in water at the start of the cycle and spins but its at the end of the first set of spins in seems to stop and not do anything else but on cancelling it does drain fully (the draining motor sounds as it always has so I assume its not running slow) although it does not take very long only about a min if you just run the drain cycle it says it takes 2 mins its really more like 1 but I guess that could be as there is not that much water to drain away.

I will get him to have a look at those parts tonight and see if we can get any further forward

    Hi

If He is that technical then he should be able to find the fault, most of the people here that reply to your questions are Engineers so your comments are quite rude to them.

After re-reading your posts regarding your machine, i have to agree with Washman. You don’t like Washing machine engineers because in your experience we all apparently charge ridiculous fees & then overcharge to fit the parts that we say the machine needs, yet these are the same engineers yuo come to for FREE ADVICE when something goes wrong.

I did not mean to cause offence to anyone but my past experience I have felt ripped of by a repair man I understand the majority of engineers are honest individuals but one stung always wary and without a personal recommendation I cannot be sure I would find a good one so we are trying our best as with 2 young children money is tight, so I cannot afford to waste money.

He is technical but not a washing machine builder/repairman so obviously need some direction I thought this forum was to help everyone and if you can afford to pay an engineer you would not be on such a forum I thank the kind gentleman who offered some advise it was much appreciated

Re: Beko wm 8127w not finishing cycles

Leanne: People come to us for advice whether they have money or not & we willingly give them that advice for Free. I appreciate that in the past you may have had a problem with an Engineer, but please do not Tar us all with the same brush. The Majority of Appliance Engineers are Honest hard working Men & Women just trying to earn a living. Unfortunately there are 1 or 2 Conmen still around in this Trade as with any other, that was why I suggested a look at the repairs@ feature.
If you come back to us later when your Husband is there, I will do my best to explain to him how to test the different items.

I am again very sorry that my comment caused offense when I reread it it did not come out the way I meant it I of course realise most engineers are genuine but without anyone to personally recommend one locally I just worry I will get the wrong one (so to speak) I with PM you with regards location thanks again for everything

    leasa,

be aware you can end up paying needlessly more on parts than gettign a decent local engineer to fault find for you. and the best bit is you/hubby doesnt end up with lacerated hands.

as suggested earlier, fill out the “find a local engineer” or post your first part of your post code, like RG1 etc, and one of us may know an enigeer local to you that we would trust to fix our own machines.

as the possible failure is unspecific your best option is to go with an engineer who will fix it for a fixed price, regardless of call outs. might be more expensive in comparison to a 30 quid a visit company, but if it takes more than 2 visits, then you arent racking up charges. the other thing is talk to people! put a facebook status out there, “washing machine broke, anyone know a local engineer whos trustworthy” word of mouth recommendations are the best kind, and if you do resort to the yellow pages, dont go with the large ad flashy ad companys, which is where quality and trustworthyness starts to dissipate. and stay away from “premier electrics” 🙂
