Moderatordon’t do many of these but its like a ISE 5 v1. wash will randomly pause during cycle, 1 push of the start button will get it going until the next occurance. Checked heater, brushes etc all seems ok and no earth leaks. going for PCB unless anyone can say otherwise?

well, changed the pcb with no result… must admit thought customer would have given up but instead just stands behind me peering over my shoulder while I ponder…. surely someone must have something better to do on a summer Saturday afternoon (me included). Going to pursue this one if only to kid myself I can still fix these things. Going to get a pressure switch and NTC (motor is already new, not fitted by me BTW)

Once had a weird CI555WH fault that turned out to be an intermittent pressure switch fault.

Thanks, Not quite the same issue as I have with the pausing mind but, on start up, once the start is pressed for a second time (after it pauses initially) it pumps for an age before starting to fill as if it thinks it already has water in the tub so will give it a go. Must have used my ISE pressure switch as I don’t have one in the box!

The initial complaint was no spin but I found it sticking in several places when I tried it.
it is the one and only time I have used a pressure switch on one as well.

well…. its working (till the phone call in the morning maybe). fitted the pressure switch with no difference, fitted the ntc no difference, slaved on another drain pump…no difference. In desperation I changed the door interlock and hey presto it worked! (not that there was any kind of door locking issue) But, I then re fitted the old lock to make sure and it worked as well so I am in the realms of god knows. Maybe a bad connection on the interlock (no Indesit style burn outs showing though). Whatever, an expensive time and parts waste for me and another pcb on the pile of “maybe I will use that in the future” other pcbs gathering dust on the shelves. At least I now have an ISE 5 v1 pressure switch on the shelf if you need another one Jim.

Ha, when you have been at it as long as I have, the shelves with the ‘maybe I will use that in the future’ have more stuff on them than all the others. 🙁 :clown:

someone on this sight once said if you have been there more than one hour trying to find the fault you are losing money and should move on to the next job after 40 years and a few burnt fingers i think it could be good advice ,well i might go 90 min
