    It seems that the spin speed selector knob is “jammed” just passed the 1400 rpm spin mark. The result is that although you can attempt to run a wash cycle the Start/Pause/Cancel indicator light will look ok but then flash without the washer filling with water so it fails the wash process pretty swiftly.
    I have previously replaced parts behind the control panel with success so am inclined to have another go but only if the issue of a jammed spin selector can be resolved by an amateur such as me 🙂 Thanks in advance for your suggestions. If there is a way to free the spin switch selector switch that would undoubtedly be a winner else if I can just replace it that would also be ok. Thanks for looking.

    I cant see the spin selector having a bearing on this problem

    sounds a bit more like a water valve problem or no water
