hi, this machine (according to the customer) will stop within a few minutes of any program selected with the wash light flashes (no pattern, just paused)she then presses the start/pause button and the machine will continue unhindered for the remaining of the program.

Any ideas?

Check the usual suspects, heater/motor low to earth, water pressure is good & is filling to level in time, check drain hose not pushed in too far into standpipe & syphoning etc. Double check that the start button on fascia is not dirty & sticking in causing programme to pause. P.C.B might be duff either, parts relatively cheap for them anyhow.
