    Hi,

I have a Beko WMA 765s and it was working fine, and then stopped a little way into a cycle. I drained the water out, tried again, same thing. Cleared the filter, which was full of the usual stuff, cotton and a 5p coin. Tried again. Same problem.

This time, I tipped the machine over, after draining it, and took the pump off. Completely cleaned it, all spins fine. Put it back together, and the same problem. The pump does its job fine, it just cuts out after 1 second. Having searched as many threads across different websites, the nearest I can get it that the mother board may be faulty.

Local appliance firm says that it will probably cost £200, and I am better off getting a new machine.

Any comments or advice very welcome please!

    Thank you in advance.

A computer has a motherboard, theres a circuit board in a washing machine, the one in your appliance is approx £50..

One good thing about Beko is their parts are fairly cheap. Don’t know where they got £200 from

Have you checked the motor brushes? If these are worn the machine will shut down as soon as it tries to turn the drum. On the spin cycle this is approx. 1 second after starting as your symptoms describe.
