ParticipantI have a BEKO WMA767S which on Friday while completed a cycle seemed to get stuck about 30mins from the end of the cycle. It kept making a noise as if it was trying to turn the drum but getting nowhere. Eventually it managed to turn and it finished the cycle.
Since then I have tried to do another cycle and the machine fills with water and then stops. After about 5/10 mins the machine drains and ends the programme. I’ve tried changing the programme, clearing the filter and switching the machine off at the wall for several hours however the same thing keeps happening.
Any advice?
Thanks

Hi suzbev,
While you are waiting for one of the lovely guys on here to reply with hopefully the right advice, usually is 😀 , I wonder if you have searched the forum for similar problems to yours, sometimes the answer is already on here for you :D.
By the way, i am just a nosey lady trying to give you something to do until the ‘pros’ come online 😀

Firstly, stop trying to use the machine – you can cause irreversible damage to the motor.
You need to check the motor brushes, they’re probably worn out and need replacing. Remove the motor from the machine, they’re mounted at the “front” of the motor.

Thanks for this. Ive removed the back of the machine and can see the motor but it seems to be sitting in a heavy metal casing with star shape type screws. The whole casing is then covered in a piece of soft black plastic so even if I tip the machine and look under it I can’t see the motor other than what I can see through the metal casing (which is white plastic and copper wire).
Am I missing something obvious? Sorry for my ignorance but I’ve never done this before 🙂January 16, 2011 at 6:55 pm #341309iadom

That is the motor, the casing is the outer body and field coil of the motor, the bit inside is the motor armature. 😉
You will need a large T30 torx bit and possibly an extension bar to remove all four of the torx bolts, then prise the motor off, not easy TBH.
