I have a beko washing machine which seems to start draining as soon as it starts to fill. The water appears to be being pumped out for some reason, rather than just siphoning out.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? I read somewhere it might be the thermostat which I think I have located at the bottom of the drum but I have no idea how to replace it.

Thanks in advance for any help with this problem.

Ok, so I’ve tested the thermostat and its reading 5kohms which seems a bit high from what I’ve read on here.

Does anyone know if these are just a push fit part?

    Cheers

Well I’ve replaced the thermostat, which just pulls out and pushes in again and the fault is still there. It turns out that not disconnecting the leads gave the 5k resistance reading (it’s only1.6ohm and the new one was 1.8ohm when disconnected).

Not sure wether to try replacing the control board or just give up and buy a new machine.

Just in case anyone is interested, I managed to get a used control board off ebay for £25.95 and the problem is sorted 😀
