    went to this one tues,no motor action.brushes completely worn.replaced brushes(gen) and pulled tacho cover off to have a quick look as had quite a few of these broken lately.it was fine.call this morning saying m/c not working right.went to look and put it on a program and got the dreaded rapid spin without ramp up.tach magnet in two bits.is this just bad luck or what.

    murphy’s law check something ” just in case ” and you can guarantee if it wasnt a prob it soon will be !

    Seen this quite a few times on beko’s ,usually i look out to see if there are any fine hair line crack’s on magnets once i have the motor out as a precaution now on all magnets.

    hi Shaun, these magnets are a pain.the only thing i can think of is that the bedding in of new brushes has caused slight vibrations to travel down armature. no visible crack when brushes replaced.Paul
