I have had this machine for 18months now. No warranty so I’m on my own on this one. About a month ago it blew the main household cicuit breaker.

Not too technically minded I just unplugged it and came on internet to try and find out why.

It has been “drying out” since then so I decided to plug it in and see what happens. It still blows (obviously), but only when the door is locked. When open it is fine and stays on.

Am I just looking at a new door lock/switch or is it something more sinister.

Please don’t suggest a repair man I’m unemployed (like half the country by the looks of it).

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

I also have the operating instructions for this model if anybody needs a copy(including quick start guide).

    Hi
It could be a number of things door lock, pcb, heater, motor hard to tell with out seeing it or meter readings.
Does water go into machine at all?
Can you select spin does motor turn?
    anything light up?
It really is a process of elimination

power off if your attempting anything

Nothing mechanical works. The lights come on when the door is open then when shut the circuit breaks and the door stays locked for the usual safety time.

A mate of mine thinks possible pcb

door interlocks for these are worth a shot,

beko interlock failures are almost as common as hotpoint ones so order one as a shot to nothing 🙂
