ParticipantI have searched for similar problems and read about the out of balance loads.
Beko washing machine doesn’t try to spin. The pump just keeps pumping.
The machine spun when i took the drain hose out of the waste and laid it on the floor, so i suspected a blockage in the pressure switch pipe or pressure switch not closing.
Removed pressure switch pipe and inspected for blockages,Blew into pressure switch and could hear the microswitch clicking in and out.
Reassembled everything and still just empties with no spin.
I know hearing the microswitch click is not proof that the contacts are making and breaking as they should, but i didnt have my meter to hand.
The pressure switch is a 4 terminal one so i assume its a single level one. 3 of the terminasl are marked 11 ,12, 13.
would i be right in thinking 11 common . 12 normally closed, 13 normally open? i dont know what the fourth terminal should be linked to so i can test it’s switching as it should.Any help on this problem.
All testing done with power switched off at the mains.
If it’s not the pressure switch any suggestions on what else it could be. the motor is working ok, brushes okall suggestions greatly appreciated .

Sounds like foam detection problem, you could try filling water in to soap drawer & emptying a few times, it may reset itself, press the cancel button for 3 secs or more & try a spin programme again, if no joy test motor crcuit.
Motor readings should be taken at KN1 socket of PCB.
The expected values should be :-
KN1.3 – KN1.7 = 0.8 Ohms
KN1.5 – KN1.7 = 2.8 Ohms
KN2.1 – KN2.3 = 50 OhmsSeptember 17, 2012 at 3:19 pm #380953tiprat

Thanks for that reply Seamy.
Got to have another look at it this weekend.
Ran a few rinse cycles, still no joy.Tried a reset by following a sequence of button presses that i found on the internet.still no joy.
checked pressure switch with a meter, 11 and 12 normally closed high resistance. squirt of wd40 sorted that out. still no joy.
Machine is now attempting to spin, you can hear it spin up a few stages then shuts down and starts again.
Removed brushes to check, plenty on them , not burned or pitted, comm ok.
Checked motor windings. different resistances to what you say though, wonder why that is?
kn1. 3 -7 = 1.8 ohms
kn1. 5-9 = 3.9 ohms
Tacho reading 50 ohms and giving a voltage out when rotating drum.Read somewhere about disconnecting everything on control panel, leaving it 20 mins , reconnecting and trying again.
I did this and thought it had sorted it, it went in to a sort of half spin, then stopped. Back to square one.Any suggestions please as to what to check now.
thanks in advance, andy
