ParticipantI went use the washing machine today, but for some reason the program has got stuck. I selected the program I wanted, but for some reason it didn’t start, so I cancelled the program and the lights for ‘Wash’ and ‘Spin/end’ came on – now they won’t go off. This was this morning and its still the same now.
My dads back home tomorrow and he’s gonna kill me. I was wondering if I could reset the computer some how? I’ve seen this thread, which describes a reset procedure:
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … light=beko
would this work on my model?
Need help please.
Thanks.

It’s worth a try I guess 🙂
Apart from that, I doubt it’s anything you have done to be honest, just a failure of a component, get your Dad to check the repairs@ link below for an engineer 😀
Dave.

Thanks for the reply.
I know I didn’t break it, but my dad’s a technophobe, and I was the last one to use it so therefore I must have broken it.
I feel like saying ‘I wasn’t the last one to use it, I haven’t used it this weekend, no sir’. Sounds like a plan to me.
We could have bought an Indesit for an extra 30 quid (our old one was an Indesit and lasted for an aeon) but he wouldn’t have it. At the time I felt like saying ‘buy cheap, buy twice’, but he was the one paying for it, not me.
Their must be a reset procedure for the computer, so I suppose trying that reset code is my only option. I won’t be able to get in touch with Beko tomorrow as its a bank holiday.
Wish me luck.

You’ll never guess what. I was just going to unplug it for the night to see if that would reset the computer, but before doing that I switched it on (it was still stuck in the ‘Wash Spin/End’ mode) and I pressed the ‘Start/Cancel’ button for 3 seconds and it ended the mode!! 🙂
The drain pump started and Its now in the ready mode. Brilliant.
This must be a glitch or something as I’ve been holding/pressing cancel all day.
I’m not going to try it tomorrow, no way, I’m going to ask my dad to start the cycle, so if it gooses up I won’t be held accountable.
Cheers Dave for replying 🙂

The Indesit would have been a worse machine! 8)
