ParticipantHi, I have just aquired a beko washing machine but after having it plumbed in it doesn’t appear to want to do anything. I have cleaned out the filter and tried switching on and off in the attempt to reset the programme to no avail. I have also tried holding down startcancel buttons. All I get when turned on is a flashing ready light.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.March 12, 2014 at 10:25 pm #411061roly16

Hi,
Have you checked the obvious things such as water tap turned on, and made sure the door is shut firmly? If so, I think it’ll be a job for a service engineer.

This sounds all too familiar. I have a brand new Beko WM7043CW washing machine. I removed the existing (fully functioning 20 year old Ariston!) and connected the new Beko. Just like your model my Beko simply refuses to start; there is water, there is electricity, there is a drain outlet (all tested and retested and retested….) but still no lift off!!!! I rang Beko and a menu driven “customer service rep” went through the usual checklist (which I had already done anyway). I am now awaiting an engineer who is scheduled to visit on 17/03/14. Ariston is back on active duty!!!!

Just an update on my previous post. The engineer visited today and discovered that the PCB control board was not seated correctly. Therefore, the Start/Pause/Cancel button simply wasn’t making physical contact with the board. A quick push and the lugs clicked into place; a fully working machine! Beko final QC should be better.
Hope this helps.

Many thanks for all your help and suggestions so far. Will have a look at PCB board to see if mine is the same otherwise looks as though it may be a call to the engineer.
Will keep you posted. -
