Hi guys, we have a Beko WMB51021W washing machine, which we have been using for the past 4-5 years without issue.

Recently, we have noticed that some of our clothes are coming out of a fresh wash with bleach type stains; for example, black jogging bottoms have pink marks on them, as well as other coloured clothes. We have lost so many items of clothing this way, but we can’t figure out what’s causing it!

We’ve run the machine on the hottest wash with white vinegar, we’ve also used the dettol washing machine cleaner liquid as per instructions (wipe the seal, empty the contents into the drum and run on the hottest wash). I’ve also cleaned the dispenser drawer itself, and the cavity, and the coin trap is also clean, but no change. Every 1-2 washes, we get clothes back out with these stains.

Admittedly, we haven’t been running it on a cleaning cycle (hot wash) regularly as you are supposed to, so my guess is that there is some kind of build up of soap/scum that is causing this bleaching effect, but I’ve run out of ideas on how to approach solving the issue!

Does anyone have any ideas what I could look for please?

Thank you in advance for your help!

well I don’t think it can be the machine. I have had mechanical damage over the years but there is nothing in the machine that can cause this as far as my experience goes

Pink stains info here and loads more on stains etc can be found here it’s usually something in the or on clothes rather than a fault of the machine.
