Hi. My latest out of my depth disaster is this Beko fitted with a 3 phase Askoll motor. Problem is it won`t spin, but the pump does come, can`t cancel the spin programme to try on anything else, going to try diagnostic test on Monday to see what happens if anything. Anyone had any experience on these things? Are the Askoll motors famed for going wrong on these? I took the white plastic motor cover off to have a look and discovered that there is an inbuilt pcboard within the motor, looks ok but as we all know doesn`t mean a sausage! All wires seem to be ok. What`s that black box with the 2 wires, some sort of transformer perhaps are they prone to failure? Any ideas please.

Thanks I suspect as much given the Askoll drain pumps and dishwasher motors.Yes I`ve already looked up the price of the motor and your spot on that it isn`t reasonable; yeeks! Shame I haven`t got a second hand one to try but that would be useful. Me thinks a hasty retreat as I can`t take the gamble if I`m wrong and lose both my shirt, shoes and undies; cowardly I know but sensible! Ridiculous priced parts these days …..moan…..groan……and even more grumble.
