    Hi folks

Went to this today and symptoms are – switched on to spin, starts pumping for about 5-10 seconds and then cuts out. Originally thought it might have been a motor fault but that checked out ok. Switched to a wash program and same thing happened – pumped and cut out before it started to fill. Left it for a while and machine switched itself back on again for about 5 seconds and switched back off again – typical the of pcb fault of something breaking down, cooling and cutting back in.

Found a small module at the top which looks like it might have been overheating or burning behind a large black cylinder thing as the board is all discoloured – it could be burning up or it could be running hot and it is the convection causing the discolouration as it is spaced off the board so not sure if this is the fault or not.

Question: what exactly does this board do (its listed as a dc board but what does it supply?) and could it be causing the cutting out problems?

Anyone else had this same problem and what was causing it?

The machine is only about 18-24 months old.

    Thanks

    Mick

That board is for the motor had one yesterday where the main pcb was ramping the motor straight to spin which made this dc board blow but it could just as easily be the motor at fault.
