Hello everyone, my first post here.
A customer of mine has the above washer and she says the machine will not complete any program, stops with about 19 mins left, it empties the “rinse” light flashes and the door unlocks (when I arrived the remnants of the persil tab were on the washing)I have tested the heating element and continuity checks out at about 28meg I think. The insulation resistance is infinite.
It has a inverter motor and is about 6 yrs old. There are no blockages and the valves both work.I ran the machine on a 14 min wash, empty, and the cycle finished in that sort of time. I asked the customer to run an hour wash, also empty (to rule out imbalance).
She rang me back to say the cycle had stopped with 19 mins left and there it stayed, the door was warm during the wash. She said it was like it had paused. It had drained and then unlocked the door.
I’m wondering if there is an issue with the heater or can a faulty NTC cause this issue? Is it worth asking her to run just a cold cycle to see if this works? It was okay on the 14min cycle at 30 degrees.
Or is it likely to be a PCB fault? Or possibly a bad pressure switch?
Any thoughts?

28 ohms i would believe but 28Megs is well useless Which is it ?

the fact its warm ( if it is plumbed to cold water ) means the heater resistance you said must be wrong. It must be ok
have you checked the filter?

The filter is okay and no blockage, the pump engages too.
I beg your pardon, yes the heater is at around 28ohms and the resistance was fine before switching on (I use a Socket & See tester from Hotpoint)
the way you seem to be talking makes me think you do this for a living
am i correct ?
