Beko WY940P44EW washing machine

Hi, its a beko washing machine with 3 pcbs, display, power board at top, and motor board at bottom,.
when i turn the dial to the first program it lights up normally but wont start when turned to other programs it goes dead.
checked all the wiring, the top power board bracket was broken but boards all look ok.
any ideas welcomed

do get a similar thing on hoover units with a faulty programme selector but it does not fail to start once i get it to stay on

have emailed you the fault codes and test info

see if it will go into service mode

is it just 1st programme clockwise or if you select any programme quickly will it come on till you move the knob ?

just an update in case anyone else comes across this. I disconnected the bulb in the top of the door seal and
it fixed it.
