    Hi there,

    Thanks for the informative site and opportunity to ask a question.

    We have a BEKO ZA630 standalone freezer w/ fast freeze option.

    Yesterday we found all items thawing and spoiled. Fast freeze works, which I used overnight but since understand from forums it’s a bad idea to force the compressor.

    I’ve powered down the freezer for 15 mins, then back on and the compressor does not respond, no hum, no vibration.

    Is this conclusive evidence the compressor has gone and therefore facing freezer replacement? (I’m not mentioning thermostats! 😉 )

    Certainly sounds like the compressor is fried.
