Hi gang, first time member who has seemingly exhausted all options but I thought i’d ask the experts if they had any ideas. My Kensington ovens lower element is bust, which has sent my wife stir crazy. After much time, I have worked out what element and got to Bel the manufacture to see if they had it in stock. Of all the parts, this is the one item that is obsolete. is this the end of the road for my oven, or is there hope.?…

they make elements. had a few made by them as i dont live to far away but am sure they may be able to help. they will need the old element as they will need to reuse the bracket.

Dave, that is fantastic and i simply can not thank you enough. Now I have to get the element out, or should I get an engineer to do it?

fay make elements. they take a stock element which is straight and bend it to match the one they want. its facinating to watch as i have done a few times

the only thing that may stop it is the low wattage but if you dont ask you dont get

i would carefully remove the element. its probalby going to be in poor condition but try to preserve the shape as much as possible. you can show them the link i posted so they can see spec etc . make sure the wires are never going to touch anything while the element is out
